It was the first day of October but felt like August! On a hot and humid day, the Bobcats toed the line alongside Waverly, Newark Valley, Whitney Point, and Dryden as the Lions hosted their only home meet of the season on a course that saw it's high school debut. The varsity girls were able to secure a team win even while running without two of their runners, and Aiden Hathorn was the first to cross the line in the modified race. Varsity boys were 4th. Modified boys were third and modified girls were second. A quick drive home and the bus pulled up to our first ever "Senior Surprise!" With no home meet of our own, the Lansing XC community as well as friends of the program and the boys soccer team who had just returned home from a 10-0 win away all gathered to greet our unsuspecting seniors as we kicked off a senior night at the high school.
