The Lansing boys AND girls varsity teams took home the IAC Championship titles tonight and MANY All-Star performances were claimed by the Bobcats!  Race recap is forthcoming, but here's a photo drop from the awards ceremony (thank you, Karin Silva!)

We are five weeks into the varsity season (four weeks into modified)!  Check out the home page for some new entries to our program record books and keep an eye on ny.milesplit.com for results from all of the meets.  

Today we saw 27 personal records set at Baldwinsville across our modified, JV, and varsity races!  And of those who were healthy enough to race, every single person put forth incredible efforts that reflect lots of excitement still to come.

​Now that we are fully into racing season, you'll see more race reports here.  Meanwhile, enjoy some photos that Karin Silva snapped for us at our first annual Moonlight Miles event with Trumansburg as well as our opening IAC dual meet at Groton.

The highlights for today, on top of all of those PRs set, included:

• Lansing modified boys earned the Runner-Up team award
• Trent Thibault set a new LXC sophomore 5K record, second best all-time 5K LXC race time, and overall small school runner-up with his time of 16:17.3.
• Evelyn Jackson set a new LXC freshman 5K record and 6th best all-time 5K LXC race time with her 22:03.1 finishing time
• Kathleen Sullivan '25 now holds the 5th best all-time 5K LXC race mark with her 21:01.8 finish
• Abram Benson '28, Sammy Sternberg '29, and Jackson Tunnicliff '29 hold the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all-time best modified 1.5 mile XC times in program history with their finishes today.
• Lansing varsity boys ran to 7th place out of 35 schools
• Lansing varsity girls ran to 8th place out of 24 schools
• Lansing modified girls ran to 14th place out of 16 schools

The girls and boys teams of Lansing were second in the large school competition over two days at Dryden.

• Tom Stallone, IAC Champion in the 1600m run
• Lulani Haslinger, IAC Champion in the 400m dash
• Girls 4x800 team (Elise, Abby, Kendyll, Kinsley), IAC Champion 
• Boys 4x800 team (Trent, Weels, Stephen, Tom), IAC Champion
• Trent Thibault, IAC Champion in the 3200m run
• Kristen Johnston, IAC Champion in the Triple Jump
• New program record: Rowan Fox, 16.53, 10th grade 110m hurdle record
• New program record: Xavier Smith, 40-5.75, 9th grade triple jump record & 7th best mark all-time
• New program record: Kristen Johnston, 35-6.5, 10th grade triple jump record & 2nd best mark all-time
• New program record: Xavier Smith, 24.44, 9th grade 200m dash record

What a night!  34 PRs for the Bobcats, 4 new program records, photo finishes, and excitement all around.  Host Corning dominated the team scoring but the race for top small school was tight.  Lansing girls came in third overall ahead of Waverly and Elmira Notre Dame with the Lansing boys taking 4th overall just 12.5 points behind Waverly and well ahead of the other small schools.  With IACs and sectional championships quickly approaching, the upcoming competition looks to be impressive.

Meet Highlights:

• Kristen Johnston '25 won the girls high jump.
• Tom Stallone '23 raced to victory in a photo finish versus Corning's Ashton Bange in the 800m run, setting a new personal best of 2:03.01.
• Xavier Smith '26 set a new 9th grade record in the long jump with his 5th place finishing jump of 19-5.
• Trent Thibault '26 set a new 9th grade record in the 1600m run with his 3rd place finishing time of 4:30.22.
• Aiden Vooris '26 set a new 9th grade record in the 400m dash with his 10th place finishing time of 58.20.
• Nathaniel Ronsvalle '26 set a new 9th grade record in the 400m hurdles with his 8th place finishing time of 1:06.47.
