Welcome to Week Five of varsity track and field!
I am very proud of the work you are doing to keep up with your academics, stay in touch with your teammates, and continue to complete your workouts. This experience is more like a marathon than a sprint: we have to pace ourselves. Prioritize self-care, practice self-discipline, maintain your routines. This week, if you haven't already, make an effort to add meditation into your routine, even if only for 1-5 minutes each day. In those moments, breathe deeply, sit with gratitude.
Practices, Meets & Meetings
Until further notice, all practices and meets are suspended at least through April 29.
But you still have training options!
See the attached workouts or use any of the options we sent last week (also posted to the blog on website).
Team Virtual Events
Check your email (I'm sending all mid-week messages via google groups; join if you haven't already!!) as well as the website: we will continue to have team events take place! We'll see you on Wednesday for a team movie and I am thinking about some team core routines/stretches on a few mornings; stay tuned!
Keep in touch, Bobcats, and stay well!
Saturday game night this weekend! We'll be playing Drawful using Zoom and our phones/tablets. I'm pretty sure this should work well (I tested it with my family today) and be a lot of fun; probably best if you can play it in front of a computer with zoom and then have our phone with you.... Let's give it a try, probably around 8pm (will email via google groups with a zoom link on Saturday morning and will confirm the time then too). Plus, we'll get to wish Teresa a happy birthday!!!
